A different pace in Little Italy

Italian without the wait — built for walk-ins and weeknights.

Little Italy is famous for long dinners and longer lines. RoVino is rotisserie-forward and bar-friendly — a calm option for spontaneous nights out when you want to eat well without making a whole production of it.

RoVino in the Little Italy conversation

Our Story

A neighborhood table, built the old way

RoVino is led by husband-and-wife team Frank Anctil and Rosalia Anctil, who grew up between big family tables, neighborhood restaurants and the tight streets of Little Italy, San Diego.

After years working in restaurants and wine, the pair set out to build the kind of place they always looked for on their own nights off: somewhere you can split a board, open a bottle that feels special but not fussy, and linger with the people you came with.

The menu moves between wood-fired rotisserie, house-made pasta, Roman-style pinsa and seasonal plates that change with what our farmers bring in. The goal is simple: generous food, a relaxed room and the kind of service that feels like an extension of home.

On any given night you'll find Frank working the floor, Rosalia greeting neighbors and regulars, and a team that's been with them since the early days. It's a Little Italy restaurant built the old way – around family, community and the ritual of sitting down together.
