Amore Mio Per Siempre
Frank Anctil – Executive Chef & Owner
Rosalia Bruno – General Manager & Owner
Ever since we met and fell in love, Frank and I both have a profound appreciation of worldwide cuisines and enjoy traveling together, trying new restaurants and experiencing different cultures. When we first met, I fell in love with not only the person that he is, but the passion that he puts into perfecting his craft. We both met at Rovino`s other location in East Village. He was our executive chef there. Through the years we have grown together as a team and couple, learned together, ran the businesses together and we can’t wait to showcase our hospitality and love of authentic Italian cuisine now at Rovino. We have learned so much about what it takes to make a restaurant successful and it has all come full circle.
This has been a lifelong dream for the both of us. Frank has worked in kitchens for 26 years from the East Coast to the West Coast. His culinary background goes from A to Z working in different types of restaurants in the Philadelphia area to the restaurant scene here in San Diego. His passion for delivering an exceptional meal to each and every customer is unparalleled. He truly loves to make others happy through his food, and strives each day to see the smile and utter happiness of that “first bite” on someone’s face when we share in a meal together. In his spare time, he loves to cook for his better half, Rosalia and their family. Whether it be cooking for those he loves or cooking for strangers, Frank always makes his food tastes like home, he loves taking the old traditional recipes and elevating them into modern cuisine and he can’t wait to bring his skills and talents to all of you at Rovino.
Rosalia has worked in hospitality all throughout her hometown of San Diego for the past 8 years. Her family has deep roots in Little Italy from both her parents & grandparents and feels strongly attached to her community. Ever since she was a little girl, owning her own restaurant has been a dream. Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, customer service and hospitality is in her blood. Little Italy has long inspired her with dreams of bringing her little part of Sicilian culture to others through love of food and service. A match made in heaven happened when meeting Frank, as he has opened her eyes and knowledge of cuisine further, and in sharing in this together, their team is unstoppable.
CFO & Owner
Vincenzo Bruno has worked in the hospitality industry for several years in San Diego. After receiving his degree in business management at San Diego State University he was determined to continue his family’s entrepreneurial spirit and open a restaurant in San Diego’s historic Little Italy. He has always had a special connection to the neighborhood with his grandfather owning and operating Vince’s Barber Shop on India street for over 50 years and also getting his start at a local Italian deli and restaurant when he was in high school. He now has the opportunity to team with his sister, Rosalia, and Chef Frank to deliver a unique restaurant experience at Rovino.
